Twitter has quickly become a significant part of how we communicate with our customers. This past week Newfoundland Power’s Twitter audience reached a big milestone with over 25,000 Twitter users now following us. Each day our Social Media Team delivers info on our customer service programs, communicates safety messages, shares pictures from community events like the Power of Life Bell of Hope project, as well as responds to our followers’ inquiries.
One of the most crucial and important uses of Twitter is our ability to communicate with you during outage events. While we cannot use Twitter as a method for customers to report an outage, we do use it to provide messaging around how to be prepared, safety, calls for conservation, and other key updates on restoration efforts.
